Rute Mafalda dos Santos Tomás e Sá Lopes Petrucci

She began her studies at the National Conservatory Dance School – Professional Dancer Course, completing the professional dancer course in May 1993. Following her professional training, she was a dancer with the National Ballet Company. She also attended the Royal Academy of Dancing course.

Between 2002 and 2014, she trained in Flamenco Dance at the Escuela flamenca Juan Pulvillo - Professional course in flamenco choreography and technique, and at the Escuela Internacional de Flamenco Manolete - Professional course in flamenco choreography and technique.

In 2017, she completed her Master's Degree in Dance Teaching at the Lisbon Dance School (Escola Superior de Dança).

She is the Artistic Director of the Mais Flamenco Ballet Dance Group, a Professional Dancer, and a Dance Teacher at various schools – Setúbal Contemporary Dance Academy; St. Peter's School, Dance Spot, Campo Pequeno Dance Academy, Atellier das Palmeiras, Paula Manso Dance Academy, Mais Flamenco Ballet.

In 2008, she formed the Mais Flamenco Ballet Dance Company. She directed the show The Legend of Paloma Brava on tour in theatres across the country.

2009 – 2010 - She directed the show …entre Danças e Compassos (…between Dances and Rhythms). She was invited to perform with the Flamenco musical group Serva la Bari in Casinos and performance venues throughout the country. She was invited as the principal dancer in the Lisbon Early Dance Company, performing various styles of historical dances.

2011 - She was invited to dance in various Casinos across the country with her Mais Flamenco Ballet Company.

2012 – 2014 - International Flamenco Internship in Granada with the great dancers and choreographers Judea Maya and “Farruquito.”

2014 – 2018 - Miguel Fonseca Equestrian Galas - Principal dancer and choreographer.

2015 -2018 - Setúbal Contemporary Dance Academy, where she teaches Classical Dance technique at various curriculum levels. She is responsible for the Sociocultural project Dançar Sabugal (Dancing Sabugal), which is ongoing to this day, involving workshops, performances, etc.

2017 - She directed the show Ao som da Dança (To the Sound of Dance), touring the country with its premiere at the Faialense Theatre in the Azores. She was requested to lead and teach a Dance Workshop. Dance N’Arts School - Flamenco and Spanish Classical Dance Workshop at the Winter Course.

2018 - Assistant Professor – Lisbon Dance School (Escola Superior de Dança). Annarella Sanchez Ballet and Dance Academy - Methodology Course for Classical Technique (Ballet) Teachers, taught by Professor Martha Iris Aguero Fernandes, the sub-director of the National Ballet School in Havana, Cuba.
