Pascoal Amaral 

Holds a degree in Dance from the Lisbon Dance School (Escola Superior de Dança), with a notable focus during his training on contact improvisation and the study of Eastern practices aimed at developing the body and mind, namely dynamic and static meditation, Tai Chi, Kung Fu, Qi Gong, and Yoga (Karma, Kriya, and Raja).

He is also a doctoral candidate in Education (specializing in Health Education) at the Faculty of Human Kinetics of the University of Lisbon, holds a Master's degree in Public Health and Development from the Institute of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine of the New University of Lisbon, and is a specialist in Traditional Chinese Medicine. In the health context, he is the technical director of TNC at Clínica Médica Central, clinical team leader, and clinical internship coordinator at CCMTC. He received the Merit Scholarship from the Directorate-General for Higher Education for the academic year 2019/2020.

To understand the importance of studying movement for the preservation of an individual's general health and for the development of a holistic awareness of the human being, his dance and movement journey highlights the significance of experiences with figures such as Alexandra Battaglia, Amélia Bentes, André de Campos, Ângelo Neto, Barbara Griggi, Bruno Alves, Bruno Duarte, Deolinda Fernandes, Esther Steinkogler, João Pereira, Jonas Lopes, Juvenal Banco, Mónica Figueiredo, Olga Roriz, Patrícia Henriques, Paulo Mei, Pedro Paz, Popeye Hong, Rita Carvalho, Stella Ho, Vítor Garcia, Willi Dorner, Yu Yang, and Yan Teng.
